Lights

When I first got Skippy I had to read up on how to care for a bearded dragon. There are so many ideas out there. I have tried every kind of light there is. This light, the Exo Terra Solar Glo, has worked really well for my boys. It is very very important to have the right kind of lighting. Skippy’s lights were too far away from him when I first got him and I didn’t realize it until he started getting sick.  If you have any questions about lighting please ask me, I will be happy to help you get your baby just right.

In February of 2018 I decided I wanted to get a baby bearded dragon.  My daughter Gracie and I went to Petsmart and saw a lonely little bearded dragon that we decided to take home.  What a blessing that was. That is when Skippy came into my life and the love of bearded dragons began. I would cuddle with him every evening and he loved it. He was a dragon that was scared of everything. He grew to trust me and it was such a wonderful bond. In November we decided to get a second one. This is when Rexie came into our lives. It took a while for him to trust us but now he trust us 100% and loves to cuddle. Beardies are crazy little critters when they are young but as they grow they will bond with you and trust you. They are such wonderful creatures. My husband never would have thought that I would fall in love with a bearded dragon so easily, but it happened. This blog will show you the wonderful adventure that we do on a daily basis with these beautiful boys. Hope to see you again and again. If you have a bearded dragon let me know your story.

Meet Skippy and Rexie.  18 months ago I decided to get a bearded dragon and my love for these sweet creatures began.  I am starting this blog to show everyone the adventures they have, and whatI have learned (and continue to learn) about bearded dragons.  I did many things wrong in the beginning so hopefully some of the things I have learned along the way will help others with their dragons!
